From the 13 – 16 October, the Envu Smart Vegetation Management Roadshow brought together councils, utilities, and infrastructure professionals to explore practical strategies for safer, more efficient vegetation management ahead of the upcoming fire season.

In the sessions held in Brisbane, Wagga Wagga and Bannockburn, experts shared insights on understanding seasonal risks, adapting corridor management strategies, and using data-driven tools for better prioritisation.

Key topics included:

- Understanding seasonal risk drivers to make proactive decisions on fuel loads, firebreaks, and treatment timing. (Bernard Trembath – QLD Bushfire Planning)

- Evolving corridor management strategies amid changing budgets and procurement pressures. (Russell Warner – ETS Infrastructure Management)

- Leveraging LIDAR and 3D data for risk mapping and smarter prioritisation. (Nigel Barry – Intelfuse)

- The role of long-lasting chemistry like Esplanade® in improving safety and reducing interventions. (Dr Ciara O’Brien – Envu)

- Global insights from the US and Europe on technology-led vegetation programs. (Craig Hossfeld – Envu)

The workshops sparked valuable discussion and networking, connecting long-time Envu partners and new audiences alike. Attendees gained tools to plan for any season, apply risk-led strategies, and strengthen fire preparedness.

Stephanie Larkin, National Sales & Key Account Manager (IVM) at Envu shared:

“It was encouraging to see how involved the attendees were in sharing their views and ideas with us. These workshops have sparked good dialogue about the need for stronger collaboration across the industry.”

At Envu, we are committed to helping vegetation managers cut risk, contain costs, and lift performance across Australia’s roadsides, easements, and corridors.
