Envu Attends 2026 Australian Sports Turf & Golf Management Conference & Trade Exhibition
The week kicked off with the 2026 ASTMA National Awards Dinner, where Luke Helm of Meadowbrook Golf Club, QLD, was awarded the 2026 ASTMA Excellence in Golf Course Management Award, proudly sponsored by Envu.
Last week, the Envu team attended the 2026 Australian Sports Turf & Golf Management Conference & Trade Exhibition (ASTMA) at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, connecting with turf professionals from across Australia and beyond.
Held 22–25 June, the conference brought together hundreds of golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, curators, grounds managers and greenkeeping professionals for four days of education, networking and innovation. Delegates explored the latest developments in turf management, machinery, technology, research and product innovation, while attending an extensive program of presentations covering agronomy, sustainability, environmental management, leadership and emerging industry trends.
For the Envu team, the conference provided a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with customers, strengthen industry relationships, showcase our turf management solutions and discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the industry. It was also a great chance to hear from leading experts and exchange ideas with professionals who are passionate about raising the standard of sports turf management across Australia.
One of the highlights of the week was the ASTMA National Awards Dinner, where Envu proudly sponsored the 2026 ASTMA Excellence in Golf Course Management Award.
Congratulations to Luke Helm from Meadowbrook Golf Club, QLD, recipient of the 2026 ASTMA Excellence in Golf Course Management Award. Luke has established himself as an outstanding leader through innovation, resilience, staff development and an unwavering commitment to continuous course improvement. Over the past 12–18 months, Luke and his team have successfully delivered major construction, renovation and infrastructure projects entirely in-house, while also reinstating the course following multiple major flood events. Beyond course management, Luke has demonstrated exceptional leadership in environmental and biosecurity management through his work with the National Fire Ant Eradication Program. He is also the founder of the club's popular 'Greenkeepers' Revenge' tournament in support of Movember, which raised nearly $10,000 for men's health initiatives last year. Luke’s dedication to his team, club, industry and community makes him a highly deserving recipient of this prestigious award. Congratulations Luke on your outstanding achievement!
The conference once again demonstrated the strength and professionalism of Australia's sports turf industry, providing valuable opportunities for learning, collaboration and the sharing of ideas. Events like ASTMA continue to play an important role in driving innovation, supporting professional development and helping the industry meet the evolving expectations of players, clubs and communities.
A big thank you to the ASTMA team for delivering another outstanding conference. Envu is proud to support an industry that continues to innovate, collaborate and raise the standard of sports turf management. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
