Envu Excellence Award Honours Peter May at FAOPMA Pest Summit 2026

During the FAOPMA Pest Summit 2026, Envu was proud to present the Envu Excellence Award to Peter May of Xavca, recognising his outstanding contribution to the Australian and international crop protection and professional pest management industries.
The Envu Excellence Award celebrates individuals whose dedication, leadership and commitment have helped shape the future of the pest management profession. This year's recipient embodies those qualities through more than three decades of service across technical, commercial and executive leadership roles.
Peter's career has been defined by a passion for innovation and advancing industry best practice. In 2001, he established a consultancy that delivered strategic and marketing expertise to businesses across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. He later held senior executive positions, helping pioneer natural and novel insecticide technologies that supported the continued evolution of both agricultural and professional pest management markets.
His strong academic background, including an Honours degree in Applied Science specialising in Integrated Pest Management, an MBA in International Marketing, and graduate membership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors has underpinned a career dedicated to driving meaningful progress across the industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, Peter is widely respected for his commitment to supporting the broader pest management community. Over many years, he has generously contributed his time and expertise to industry organisations, including the Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association (AEPMA) and the Mosquito Control Association of Australia, helping strengthen the profession through collaboration, advocacy and mentorship.
The award was presented by Daryle Swarz, Senior National Sales Manager, Professional Pest Management (ANZ) at Envu who recognised Peter’s outstanding contributions to the industry and the lasting impact he has made through his leadership, guidance and willingness to support others:
