Kordon contains the active constituent “deltamethrin", which protects buildings and structures against termites. It therefore needs to be approved and registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority.
Building Regulations
Kordon has a CodeMark Certificate of conformity that states it complies with the relevant provisions of the Building Code of Australia.
Kordon is listed on the NATSPEC web site National Construction Product Register, https://www.ncpr.com.au/. Whilst NATSPEC states “The National Construction Product Register (NCPR) is for assistance, not assurance” to be listed requires the product supplier to produce “ …evidence of conformity to relevant Australian and international standards”. So building designers and specifiers can be confident that claims made for Kordon have been independently confirmed.
Kordon also has a Branded Worksection produced in conjunction with NATSPEC – see https://www.natspec.com.au/ . This has a product specification which can be incorporated into a building specification. The specifier can be confident that this is “the preferred specification for major building professionals. Government departments, contractors, consultants and architects”.
